CONSTRUCTION
Type ASC or AAC bare aluminum conductors are concentrically stranded, and are constructed with 1350-H19 alloy wires. Its form of packaging are reels in lengths according to the needs of the client.
APPLICATIONS
Bare aluminum conductors of the type ASC (Aluminum Strand Conductor) or AAC (All Aluminum Conductor) stranded classes AA and A are used for power transmission and distribution lines, when for line design reasons, the current capacity must be maintained and a conductor lighter than ACSR is desired and the ultimate tensile strength is not a critical factor; Stranded conductors with greater flexibility (classes B and C) are used in other applications for connections or bridges of electrical equipment, in substations, etc.
SPECIFICATIONS
• ASTM B230: Aluminum wires, alloy 1350-H19 for electrical purposes.
• ASTM B231: Type 1350-H19 stranded aluminum conductors in concentric layers.
• NTE INEN 335: Bare aluminum cables 1350 for electrical use.
